Supporting young people in becoming entrepreneurs

It is the call of the Government of Hungary to companies engaged in developing business start-ups, business-related services, non-profit and other not profit oriented organizations promoting young people to become entrepreneurs.

The Partnership Agreement of the Government with the European Union aims to reduce youth unemployment in the age group of 15-25, the expansion of employment opportunities through entrepreneurship and measures for developing start-up businesses.

In the framework of the cooperation the Government agrees to:

– evaluate the submitted proposals within 30 days of the submissions deadline. Grant applications received for the call will be adjudicated under the procedural law, according to the standard selection procedures;

– grant the best projects 93-306.9 million HUF non-refundable aid in accordance with the terms of the call.

 

In the framework of the cooperation the organizations submitting the grant application agree to:

– contribute to the increase in the number or young entrepreneurs, to strengthen sustainable growth and self-employment and to promote the creation of jobs with the implementation of their projects;

– support young people who have viable business ideas with complex services for the preparation of their business plans and to prepare them for becoming an entrepreneur.

– administer the program within the framework of the construction with other business developmental organizations from other regions that have the same principles and common methodologies.

It is a major criterion, that the individual must be registered in the Youth Guarantee Programme, and should be seeking a job at the labour organization, or be a young person neither in education or training nor working.

At least 50% of the target group consists of young people who have been registered as jobseekers for minimum 6 months. Young people who are funding their own enterprises may be granted a maximum of 3.000.000 HUF in non-refundable aid with a 10% down payment.
